Today is Good Friday meaning we are approaching the end of Lent season which started on Ash Wednesday, March 1 2017. This Friday is called Good because for Christians, it is the day we remember the good thing Jesus Christ did for all mankind – dying on the Cross of Calvary for our sins.
Some Christians go the extra mile to commemorate with the Lent season by fasting or abstaining from some foods like meat or even alcohol. The Last Supper is one of the events of the season - when Jesus had his last meal with his disciples and it is written in the Bible that he served unleavened bread and wine to signify his body and blood
Some people have shared other food that were believed to have been served that period including lamb/ goat, olives, figs, mint leaves and even beans. Recently, Easter is associated with Easter eggs and bunny, and bunnies are known to eat carrots. Based on these beliefs, here are some Easter recipes for this weekend.
