Ingredients
- 1 1/3 cups Flour
- 2 Eggs
- 3 tbsp Butter
- 1 1/2 cups Sugar
- 2 tsp Baking powder
- 1/4 tsp Baking soda
- 3/4 cups Cocoa Powder
- 1/8 tsp Salt
- 3/4 tsp Vanilla essence
- 1 cup Milk

Directions
- Sift the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda and salt together
- Mix butter and sugar to be as light as possible in a different bowl
- Add one egg at a time, beat well before adding
- Stir in vanilla or flavour of your choice.
- Put in the dry ingredients alternating with milk.
- Turn into a well-greased pan and bake
Note that chocolate cakes are very delicate hence avoid shaking the oven or opening the oven until the cake smells baked
